P4 and P5 Study Skills Workshop 2016

The Primary 4 and Primary 5 students went through a one-day Study Skills Workshop on 1 February 2016 and 8 March 2016 respectively.

The objectives of the P4 Study Skills workshop were to get students  to review their current study methods and teach them skills for setting academic goals, time management skills and strategies for revision.

Some of the Primary 4 students commented that they have learnt many useful skills that could help them in their time management. The students enjoyed the videos shown during the workshop and shared that they could relate to the examples shown. Overall, the Primary 4 pupils are now more motivated to set their S.M.A.R.T goals as they view their goals as something to work towards.

The P5 students have also learnt a lot from their Study Skills workshop, which taught them note-taking strategies, memory techniques based on their different learning styles and organizational skills for revision. They shared that they could now use the note-taking strategies to revise for their examination as these strategies would enable them to remember facts better.

All in all, the Primary 4 and 5 students enjoyed the workshop and found the strategies taught both beneficial and valuable to their learning.
