Easter Service 2016

On 28 March 2016, the school celebrated Easter Monday with an Easter Service. Student representatives brought gifts to the altar which symbolise the significance of Easter. These included the Bible to represent the word of God, a lighted candle to signify the light of the Risen Christ, a bowl of water to signify the life- giving grace that sustains those who have become children of God and a basket of Easter eggs symbolising new life. To tell the story of Easter, a group of Primary 6 students put up a skit chronicling the events from the Last Supper leading up to Jesus’ resurrection. As the students acted out Peter’s denial of Jesus 3 times and how Jesus forgave him, we reflected on our school’s theme of the year—Be forgiving, Grow in Love. In the spirit of renewal during Easter, we are reminded that it is only through having the heart and generosity to forgive, that we ourselves will grow in love.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16
